Well, I've just realised that yesterday was the first anniversary of when I got my lovely Olly...

It seems only yesterday that I was dithering about what camera to buy...

...and a year down the line, I think I made the right decision.

Many thanks to CliffS for all the help...you wouldn't believe the amount of research he did on my behalf! I was positively inundated with links to websites, reviews and information. I went into total brain overload at times! I honestly don't know how he put up with my newbie questions or how he found the time to research it all for me.

In the end I listened to his advice, read the reviews he sent me and went for the camera that just "felt right". Not at all logical, but hey, I'm a woman so logic doesn't enter the equation...

It's been a fantastic year for me, and I think (?) I'm getting better as time goes on. It's been interesting tonight to go back to the start on my Flickr site and to look at what I thought was good and compare it to what I'm doing now. I think I've improved...?

Thanks are also due to Steve and the excellent on-line beginners course which he ran on here earlier this year. After following it I've managed to learn how to control the camera rather than it controlling me...

Most of all, I'm still loving it!

I must also thank Rob (Senninha) who has spent umpteen evenings on Messenger explaining and answering my very silly questions. I'm sure he thinks I'm a total muppet, but he's been very diplomatic with his replies!

Thanks also to all of you who have been so supportive and have taken the time to comment on my pics and give advice. It really is much appreciated.

So, here's to another year..
