Steve's knocked up an article about Smart Object Templates (whatever they are) which can be found here.

Chris has kindly added a download link to the bottom of this tut today, its a photoshop template file using "Smart Objects", so if you have Photoshop CS2/CS3/CS4 you can download the file and test it out without doing all of the work.
